Our Assessment:
This Smith & Wesson Model 36-10 is part of the limited “Flame Series” commissioned by Lew Horton Distributing and built by Smith & Wesson’s Performance Center in 2006. Only 250 were produced in this striking flame-lasered nickel finish, and of those, only 175 were released with this original configuration, making it a scarce and highly desirable revolver among collectors.
This example features a 3″ heavy barrel, bright nickel finish, vivid flame patterns on the cylinder, and elegant rosewood diamond-checkered grips. The case-colored hammer and trigger add even more visual appeal. Mechanically tight and aesthetically pristine, this revolver shows only factory firing and has clearly been well cared for since its release.
With its rarity, Performance Center lineage, and unique appearance, this revolver is a standout in any Smith & Wesson collection. Whether displayed or cherished as a high-performance defensive revolver, it’s a rare blend of craftsmanship, function, and artistry. So bid high and bid firm. I highly encourage you to take a look at the condition of the item in our high-quality photos. Good luck with your bid. -K.F.
