Markings: The rifle is bedded to the stock. Some of the markings will be omitted. 

The barrel is marked “KRIEGER BARRELS .30 10”. The front sight is marked “NM .062”. The bolt “7790186 TRW ZG. The windage knob “NM BME” with LEFT twice and two arrows. The elevation knob “FZR” and 2-12 in increments of two. The hooded aperture is marked “.052” The receiver bevel “U.S. RIFLE 7.62MM M-14 NM SMITH ENT. 001606”. The trigger group “7267030 TRW”. The safety is marked “F”. The hammer is marked “5546008 DM”. The rear of the receiver is marked with the USMC crest. The right side of the receiver is marked “MESA AZ”. The scope mount is marked “BKFLD PREC TL U.S. PROPERTY”. The right side sight wing is marked “NM/2A”.   

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a National Match .062 blade set between two protective wings. The rear sight is a National Match sight block with hooded 520 sight aperture with protective wings. The rifle is also equipped with a scope mount.   

Stock Configuration & Condition: The rifle has been bedded to a fiber glass stock with a metal hinged butt plate. The length of pull is 13”. The receiver to stock fit is very tight with only slight movement when the trigger group is removed. The rifle weighs 13lbs. The upper handguard is grey fiber. The handguard and stock show no cracks or chips. The butt plate functions correctly and shows some minor discoloration from age and has surface rust in the checkering. The nose cap shows some minor rub wear. There are some minor handling marks scattered throughout. Overall the stock is in Very Good+ condition.        

Magazine Quantity & Condition: This rifle includes one 20 round magazine in Very Good+ condition.     

Type of Finish: Parkerized. 

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. The feed ramps are smooth and shiny.  In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10. This bore is very clean!.  

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The rifle shows some scattered minor marks with the majority of the finish loss from the exposed portion of the barrel. The friction surfaces of the bolt and receiver show only very minor rub wear. The action is very smooth. The trigger is crisp and clean with a very short reset. The markings are clear and the pins un-marred. The gas block and muzzle device also show some minor thinning of the finish. The inside of the muzzle device shows some minor surface rust. Overall this rifle is in about Very Good++-Excellent condition.   

Mechanics: The action functions correctly and as mentioned very smoothly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
