Markings: The left of the top barrel is marked “MODEL 585 12 GA 3? CHAMBER PROOF TESTED / MADE BY NEW SKB ARMS COMPANY JAPAN”. The left side of the bottom barrel is marked “G.U. INC., OMAHA, NE.”. The left of the monoblock is marked “M / 793” and the right is marked “CC”. The bottom of the monoblock is marked “3U”, “5820C”, “AS 04456”, and “NP”. The bottom of the receiver is marked with the serial number and “SKB SINCE 1855”. The trigger guard is also marked “TARGET”. The forend iron is marked with the serial number.
Barrel Length: 30” Vent Rib
Choke: The barrels are threaded for SKB pattern chokes. Currently Installed with a 4 dash choke that reads in between MOD/IC over a 5 dash choke that reads in between IC/Skeet.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a small white bead there also a small brass mid bead.
Weight: 7 lb., 15 oz.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set includes a two piece checkered Walnut set. The forend is a full finger shelf forend. The stock has a capped semi-pistol grip with a fluted straight comb and rubber buttpad. The length of pull is 14.25”, the cast is slightly right handed, the drop at comb is 1.5” and the drop at heel is 2”. The forend shows some small cracks/crazing in the finish scattered throughout with a notable patch on the right side of the nose. The stock shows a scattered crazing in the finish with a few small compressions. There are no visible chips or cracks. The buttpad shows deterioration/cracks and has become semi-rigid with age. Overall the furniture is in Good+ condition.

Bore Condition: The smooth bores are mirror bright and there is no erosion present. There are some minor lines from use with some very minor plastic fouling in the forcing cones. In this writer’s opinion the bores rate 9.5/10.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The barrel set shows minor scattered marks with some rub wear from the forend that is hidden when the shotgun is assembled. The safety has turned a plum hue and the receiver shows some very minor operational wear that is concealed when assembled. The markings are clear and the screw heads are sharp. Overall this shotgun is in Good+ to Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly including ejectors. The lockup is tight. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This shotgun includes the two chokes, serialized cardboard box, and paperwork.
