Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER P238”. The right side of the frame is marked “SIG SAUER INC. / EXETER-NH-USA” and has the serial number “278228015”.

Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a blade dovetailed at the muzzle with a tritium Siglite dot. The rear sight is a dovetailed square at the rear of the slide with two tritium Siglite dots. Both sights are marked “MH3 AP” on their right sides. The dots still illuminate in the dark, but have dimmed slightly from age.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The grips are two-piece grey plastic with three grooves each. The grips have some storage and handling marks. The plastic has some mild decolorization from previous use. There are no cracks. Overall the grips are in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. The rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: The pistol retains about 99% of its original finish. There is a small brown mark on the left rear end of the slide, and there are some scattered handling and storage marks. The markings remain clear. The screws are tight. Overall the pistol is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The slide to frame fit is snug. We did not fire this firearm. As with all used firearms, it may need a thorough cleaning to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: The pistol comes with its factory box featuring the corresponding serial number, an orange safety pin, trigger guard holster, instruction manual, magazine and padlock with key. The case and its foam inserts have some minimal handling and storage marks but remains in Excellent condition. The magazine is stainless steel has 5 holes on the left and right side and is marked “SIG SAUER / 380 AUTO” on its base. The magazine has some minor wear but remains in Excellent condition.
Our Assessment: The SIG P238 is a small Semiauto pistol that takes .380 ACP rounds. The pistol’s small size makes it especially useful for those who need to carry a concealed firearm, in accordance with their local regulations.
