Markings: The left side of the slide is marked “SIG SAUER P229 S” and “SIGARMS INC. / EXETER–NH-USA”. The right side of the slide is marked with the serial number, “AG 28587” and an eagle over “N” proof mark. The portion of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked on the right side “.357 SIG” over the serial number, “AG 28587”, the left is marked “SIG SAUER” with two German proofs and “KJ” date code. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number “AG 28587”, an eagle over “N” proof mark, a Sig Arms proof mark, and “MADE IN GERMANY”. The grip is marked on both sides with the Hogue grips logo.
Barrel Length: 4 3/4”, 5 1/8” with compensator.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is black blade with white dot dovetailed into the compensator. The rear is an LPA black square-notch with two white dots dovetailed into the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips is a one-piece textured black Hogue that wraps around the backstrap, leaving the serrated frontstrap exposed. There are light handling marks and several draglines/marrs on the top of both sides. There are no rips or tears. Overall, the grip rates in Very Good-plus condition, as not original to the gun.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion, but there is light stubborn fouling near to the muzzle.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 97% of its finish. There are light handling marks, and the compensator has one small red mark on the left, but otherwise this pistol is free of any notable wear or damage. The screws have light tool marks with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in Fine-plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. The single action is crisp, and the double action is smooth. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol includes a Sig Arms factory snap case, two (2) 10-round magazines, a test-fire target, and assorted factory paperwork including the manual. The case has wear visible mostly on the black snaps and rates in Fine condition. The magazines have strong springs, intact feed lips, and rate in Fine condition.
