Our Assessment: A sleek, stainless-steel take on the classic Government-profile 1911, this Sig presents clean, squared lines, a full 5″ sight radius, and the purposeful, all-steel weight that gives the platform its famously steady handling. The “Traditional” series preserves the classic slide contour and control geometry of the Browning/Colt pattern, while Sig’s stainless construction and modern machining lend the pistol a crisp, refined appearance. Chambered in .40 S&W, this configuration stands out — combining the 1911’s single-action precision with a modern service cartridge rarely seen in the platform. The slide-to-frame fit feels deliberate, the trigger break is predictably clean, and the brushed stainless finish gives it a confident, understated presence. Be sure to check our detailed pictures for a better understanding of the firearm. -C.R.
