Our Assessment: Though only produced from 1998 to 2002, the SIG Arms SHR 970 is a Swiss bolt action rifle with an interesting quick-change barrel design, allowing it to swiftly change calibers for different purposes. While this example only comes with the .300 Win Mag barrel, the cartridge is common and suitable for just about any game in North America, making it a great caliber to start with. The rifle is in Excellent condition with about 99% of its metal finish, a great bore, and strong mechanics. This would make for a great hunting rifle and for the Sig collector that’s gotta have them all, this is a not-so-common model in great condition. Please see our photos and good luck!
