Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SAVAGE Model 16 338 Fed CALIBER” and a Savage factory warning. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “J621583”. The grip cap is marked with the Savage logo, and the bolt is marked with a Savage logo and “Savage”.

Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights on this rifle. The receiver is drilled and tapped with a picatinny rail for the attached Leupold VX-1 3-9×40 scope with duplex reticle. There are light handling marks, but otherwise free of any notable wear or damage. The glass is clear, and overall, the scope rates in Excellent condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece black polymer with checkered pistol grip and forend, fluted straight comb, and black rubber buttpad. There is a sling stud on the buttstock and on the forend. The stock shows scattered light scuffs throughout with a light nick on the left side just behind the checkering. The checkering is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the Savage Accu-Trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad shows light wear throughout. Overall, the stock rates in Very Good-Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its metal finish. There are light handling marks and a small cluster of light scuffs on the top of the barrel near the receiver. Screws show light tool marks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-plus condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle includes two (2) 4-shot magazines, both with strong springs, intact feed lips, and rate in Excellent condition. This rifle also includes the following:
