Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “SAVAGE MODEL 116 CAL. 458 WIN. MAG. / SAVAGE ARMS INC., WESTFIELD. MASS. U.S.A.” along with “SP3”, and “A401” twice. The right side of the barrel is marked with a factory warning and “Stainless Steel” in cursive script. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number, “F952557”. The bolt is marked with the original Savage logo, “Savage”, and “SAFARI EXPRESS”. The grip cap is marked with a bronze colored Savage Arms Indian logo. The buttpad is marked “UNCLE MIKE’S / BY MICHAELS OF OREGON”.
Barrel Length: 24” with adjustable muzzle brake.
Sights/Optics: Express sights are set into the barrel. The front sight is a beaded brass blade dovetailed into a ramped base that is fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a graded flip-up three-leaf dovetailed into a base that is fixed to the barrel. The top of the receiver is drilled, tapped, and filled for an optic rail (none included).
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a one-piece checkered wood with ebony capped forend, black capped pistol grip, fluted straight comb, and an Uncle Mike’s brown soft rubber buttpad. There are QD sling swivels on the belly of the buttstock and the underside of the barrel band. Other than a few minor handling marks, the stock is free of any notable wear or damage. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP is 14” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad and 13 1/4” to the wood. The buttpad is free of any notable wear or damage. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is well-defined. There is no erosion, but there is light stubborn fouling along the grooves.
Overall Condition: The steel areas have just scattered minor hairline nicks, most notably on the top of the rear part of the receiver. There are a few minor nicks on the edges of the ejection port. The screws have minor tool marks with strong slots, and markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-to-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork and Accessories: This rifle includes a brown leather sling.
