Our Assessment: The Sako 75 Stainless is a bolt-action rifle produced by the Finnish manufacturer Sako from 1997 until it was replaced by its successor, the Sako 85 in 2006, and finally discontinued in 2007. The Sako 75 was named after the 75 year anniversary of Sako in 1996, when the first Sako 75 was made. The Model 75 was externally very similar to earlier Sako models. This is a gorgeous rifle that is in about Fine condition with a bright bore and strong mechanics. This rifle is fit with a 26.5” aftermarket heavy barrel and a beautiful Lone Wolf stock. The stock features an enlarged buttstock with an adjustable cheekpiece and a lower accessory slot on the bottom of the forend with attached adjustable sling studs. It is chambered in the praised .22-250 Remington. It is particularly popular in the western states of the USA, where high winds often hinder the effectiveness of other varmint rounds in prairie dog hunting. Many states in the USA have minimum caliber restrictions on larger game such as deer, although most states do allow the cartridge to be used for big game. Please see our photos and good luck!
