Our Assessment: This is a Sako model 75-III Deluxe chambered for 7mm-08 Remington. Sako has long been appreciated by hunters for the quality and beauty of their rifles, and this one certainly shows why. It’s skipline checkered stock has beautiful figuring and its blued finish is deep and well polished. The 7mm-08 is a .308 Winchester necked down to 7mm, making for a very versatile cartridge. The wide availability of different 7mm bullet weights and profiles as well as the inherent ballistic coefficient make for a flat-shooting cartridge that isn’t as flighty as some of the more zippy varmint rounds. The rifle comes equipped with a nice Leupold 4.5-14x scope to help you wring all the performance available out of the cartridge. This rifle would make a great addition to a Sako collection and an even better hunting rifle. Please see our photos and good luck!
