Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “SAKO A1 803154”.  The left side of the barrel is marked “CAL .17 REM. MADE IN FINLAND” with a Finnish proof.  The bottom side of the barrel is marked “IMP’ D By Stoeger INC, N.J.”.

Sights / Optics: There are no provisions for iron sights on this rifle. There is a set of scope mounts on the rifle above the breach.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a  Checkered wood Monte-carlo with cheek piece, capped semi pistol grip, 2 sling studs,and a red Sako rubber buttpad. There is a scratch on the cheek piece.Overall the stock is in Excellent Condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.  In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows 2 small scratches on the barrel. The markings are clear. The screwheads are strong and sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
