Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This pistol comes with a single 7-round magazine, a WWII Pacific Theater commemorative display case, a key for the case and a Colt patch. The magazine has light operational wear, some scattered minor surface oxidation, intact feed lips and a strong spring, in about Very Good condition. The display case has no notable wear or damage, in Excellent condition as not original to the gun.
Our Assessment: The 1911 and 1911-A1 pistols served the military of the United States from 1911 to 1985, through two World Wars and the Korean and Vietnam wars. They gained a reputation as a reliable handgun with plenty of stopping power, and are held in high regard by those who have used them. They have also served as the canvas for some amazing engraving. This is an example of a WWI vintage 1911 which has had extensive engraving skillfully applied by Ryan Skiles. The result is a beautiful piece of art in the form of a restored classic American pistol. This beautiful piece will make a fine addition to any collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
