Markings: The right side of the receiver is marked, “SAIGA-308-1 / SAIGA-308-1(In cyrillic) / 7.62×51”. The left side of the receiver is marked, “MADE IN RUSSIA BY IZHMASH KALASHNIKOV-USA-PT ST. LUCIE, FL. USA” With several proofs. The left side of the trunnion is marked “994341”. The bolt is marked “4341”. The scope is marked “ON / OFF” and “MADE IN RUSSIA”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a standard AK post with protective wings. The rear sight is a “U” notched leaf sliding sight escalator. The scope is a PO6x36-1. The sight picture is clear.
Stock Configuration & Condition: This rifle has a two piece wood stock set with a bulged forend, checkered semi pistol grip, and sloped comb buttstock with a cheek riser and vented rubber buttplate. The stock has some pressure dents and scuffs. The checkered pistol grip is sharp. There are no chips or cracks. The LIP measures 13.25″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. Overall this stock set rates at a Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows handling and storage wear. There are scratches and finish loss throughout. There is a concentration of scratches on the barrel and dust cover. The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in at Very Good Plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This Saiga-308-1 presents as a clean, well-preserved example of the AK-pattern .308 platform. All markings are clear and the serial/trunnion/bore stamps are consistent with the receiver, with the bolt marked “4341.” The wood furniture is in Very Good condition with light pressure dents and scuffs but no chips or cracks; the checkering on the pistol grip remains sharp. The metal retains roughly 97% of its finish with only scattered scratches and finish loss concentrated on the barrel and dust cover. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and rates an excellent 9/10. The included PO6x36-1 scope presents a usable optic with clear sight picture, and one 8-round magazine is provided.
Mechanically the rifle functions as intended — the action cycles correctly (we did not fire the rifle). Given the strong bore, high retained finish, and complete matching components, this Saiga is well suited for precision semi-auto shooting, hunting, or as a robust range rifle.
