Sights / Optics: The front sight is a pinned ramped blade. The rear sight is a fully-adjustable square-notch leaf mounted to the top strap.
Markings: The left side of the frame is marked “RUGER® .454 CASULL / NEW MODEL SUPER BLACKHAWK®.” The right side of the frame is stamped with the serial number “89-15035.” The underside of the barrel bears Ruger’s warning/address stamping and the usual instruction-manual admonition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are two-piece smooth walnut panels with silver Ruger medallions. There are no chips or cracks; grips show only light handling/wear from storage. Grips are in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: Bore is bright with sharp rifling and no erosion. Bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: The revolver is in excellent, nearly like-new condition overall. There are light handling marks on the stainless surfaces. Notably, there are mild burn marks on the front face of the cylinder consistent with light use — visible but not extensive, and do not affect function. Taking the cylinder face wear into account, the revolver retains approximately 97–99% of its original finish.
Mechanics: Cylinder locks up properly and timing is correct. Trigger and single-action operation are crisp. No functional issues observed; the gun was not test-fired during inspection.

Our Assessment: Ruger’s New Model Super Blackhawk in .454 Casull is a stout hunting and big-game revolver. This example is largely unfired and well cared for, with a mirror-bright bore and original packaging and paperwork. The light burn marks on the front of the cylinder indicate limited use but do not detract materially from the revolver’s overall presentation or function. An excellent example for a collector who wants original accessories, or for a shooter wanting a stout, ready-to-use magnum revolver.
