Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked with Rugers two-line warning. The right side of the barrel is marked “SUPER REDHAWK”. The right side of the frame is marked with the serial number followed by the Ruger logo and “RUGER / .44 MAGNUM CAL”. The rear face of the cylinder is marked “S”. The left side of the frame is marked “RUGER”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramped blade with a red insert, it is dovetailed into a pedestal fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch with a white outline leaf set into a base adjustable for windage and elevation pinned to the top strap and protected by ears. The top of the frame is cut for Ruger rings, a pair of which is included with this revolver.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grip is a one-piece black rubber with smooth wood side panel inlays. The grip has no notable wear or damage, only light handling marks. There are no rips or tears. Overall, the grips are in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are draglines from use and storage. There are a few scuffs and rubs, one of the most noticeable is on the left side of the frame at the front bow of the trigger guard. There is a faint turn line on the cylinder. Otherwise, there are only light handling marks. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The double-action pull is smooth and the single action crisp. The cylinder locks up well with light play on each chamber. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes with a serial matching grey hard case, Ruger rings, and a manual.
Our Assessment: Ruger has a reputation for building some of the strongest revolvers on the planet, with many reloading manuals having separate load-data for their revolvers as they are capable of handling pressures greatly exceeding industry standards. The Super Redhawk will handle any load you throw at it and with its steel frame and 7 1/2″ barrel, its got some mass to help tame recoil as well. With its 9″ sight radius, adjustable rear sight, and the ability to mount a scope, it should prove to be accurate as well. It will make a great target or hunting revolver and in its high condition with box, it may also serve to round out a Ruger collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
