Markings: The top of the barrel is marked with a warning over “——RUGER NEWPORT, NH U.S.A.——”. The left side of the barrel is marked “.357 MAG” and a proof mark. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number “740-47116”, “RUGER 77/357” and “®”. The bolt is serial-matching, and is hand-scribed “47116”. The grip cap and buttpad are marked with the Ruger phoenix logo.

Sights/Optics: The front sight is a brass beaded blade dovetailed into a banded base that is integral to the front of the barrel. The front sight is an adjustable flip-up u-notch/v-notch with a white diamond aiming reference. The receiver rib is grooved for the included Ruger rings.
Stock Configuration and Condition: The stock is a one-piece black synthetic with pistol grip, straight comb, and serrated black rubber buttpad. There are sling studs on the belly of the buttstock and the underside of the forend. There are minor handling marks, but otherwise the stock is free of any notable wear or damage. The LOP measures 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The buttpad is free of any notable wear or damage. Overall, the stock rates in Fine-plus condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. The receiver has just a few minor nicks. The barrel has a few spots of minor surface oxidation on the right side. The screws have minor toolmarks with strong slots, and all markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in Fine-plus condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
