Markings: The trunnion is marked “S-6100-19 RO”. The left side of the receiver is marked “PSL 54 / Cal. 7.62x54R mm”. The scope is marked “PO / 4X24-01’’. The left side recoil spring lug is marked “6308”. The right side of the receiver is marked “ROMARM/CUGIR / MADE IN ROMANIA / C.A.I. GEORGIA. VT.”. The left side of the barrel is marked “2019”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post set between two protective ears and the rear sight is a “U” notched tangent leaf marked from “1 – 12” and “P”. The left side of the receiver has a scope rail with an attached PO 4×24-01 Scope. The sight picture is clear and the night sights still work.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a wooden skeleton thumbhole stock with a metal buttplate and wooden handguards. The LOP measures about 12.5” from the back of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. There are light scratches and compression marks. There is a chip on the right side of the lower forend. There are no cracks. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: One 10rd 7.62x54R detachable waffle magazines. Magazine is in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10 out of 10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows light handling and storage wear. There are light scratches and nicks throughout. There are scratches throughout the receiver and barrel. Right behind the front sight has several light nicks. There is light finish loss throughout. The screw heads are sharp. The pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent Condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Comes with a PO 4×24-01 and total of one magazine.
Our Assessment: A modern Romanian-built interpretation of the Dragunov platform, this Romarm PSL-54 presents as a purpose-built long-range semi-automatic chambered in the long-serving 7.62×54R. The rifle’s 26.75” braked barrel, attached PO 4×24 scope and skeleton thumbhole stock convey its intended role as a lightweight designated-marksman system; the black finish and sharp markings remain largely intact with about 95% finish retention and only light handling marks, while the wooden furniture shows minor compression and a small chip at the lower forend. The included waffle-pattern 10-round magazine, clear sight picture through the PO optic, and unmarred pins and screw heads add to the rifle’s completeness and visual appeal.
The 7.62×54R cartridge has been a mainstay of Eastern bloc and Russian rifles since the 1890s, noted for its long range and hard-hitting performance in both military and sporting use; this example’s bore is bright with sharp rifling and earns a 10/10 rating. Functionally the action cycles correctly and the scope and night-sight elements present well; cosmetically and mechanically the rifle reads as Excellent overall.
