Sights / Optics: The top of the rifle is a monolithic full length picatinny rail for all your favorite sights and optics. The rail is mounted with a set of Midwest Industries Deployable Iron Sights. The front is an adjustable post. The rear sight is an L-Type aperture sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The buttstock is a Collapsible Magpul CTR OD Green Stock attached to a side folding folding tube adapter. The pistol grip is an OD Green Magpul MIAD grip with storage compartment. The handguard is a monolithic picatinny quad rail to the receiver. The safety is a 45 degree safety. There is an ambidextrous bolt stop at the front of the trigger guard. The charging handle is located on the left side of the receiver. The LOP measures 16.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the extended buttpad.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows a few light scratches on the receiver. There is some light operation wear. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action function correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Robinson Armament XCR-L 5.56 16 Heavy Barrel Rifle is part of the acclaimed XCR series, which was originally developed by Robinson Armament Co. for U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) as a multi-caliber, gas piston weapon system. It was specifically designed to meet the requirements of the SOF Combat Assault Rifle (SCAR) competition, which aimed to provide Special Operations Forces with a next-generation combat rifle.
The XCR was poised to be a strong contender in the SCAR competition, but unfortunately, it faced a setback due to a technicality. The disqualification occurred because of the late delivery of blank firing adapters, an accessory used for training purposes. Despite this setback, the XCR platform itself proved to be a highly capable and versatile firearm.
While it may not have won the competition, the XCR-L continues to impress with its ambidextrous design, modular features, and reliable performance in both military and civilian applications.
