Markings: The top of the barrel is marked with proof marks, the right side is marked “TVLLE”

Sights/ Optics:  Brass blade soldered to barrel front sight, U notch rear sight soldered to barrel

Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip:  The stock is one piece,full-stock, straight grip, shotgun buttplate, 1 barrel wedge, three steel pipe tubes, and wood ramrod installed into the forend.  There are compressions and scratches throughout. There is minor surface cracking of the finish on the left side of the buttstock.   Overall the stock rates in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The smooth bore is bright. There is no notable erosion. There is minor fouling.  In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.

Overall Condition:  This rifle retains about 90% of its browned finish. Most of the metal is very clean.. There is minor corrosion on the pan, scuff marks on the frizzen from use.  The mechanics are very good.  Overall this Rifle rates in Very Good Condition.  

Mechanics: The hammer locks. The trigger is crisp. The action functions correctly.  We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.  

Box Paperwork and Accessories: This shotgun comes with its ramrod.

Overall Assessment: This is a gun assembled from a modern French Pattern Trade Gun kit.  It has been well built.  It has the French Pattern lock with “TVLLE” marked on it. The right side plate is of serpentine design common to most trade guns of the 1700s and 1800s fur trade era.  Please check out the photos and good luck on your bidding!  MF
