Markings: The lock plate is marked “TOWER” behind the cock, crowned “GR” and crowned “V” in front. There are British proofs on the top-rear of the barrel and its tang. The buttplate is marked “9246”.

Barrel Length: 46″

Sights / Optics: None. There is a bayonet lug on the top of the barrel at the front which can be used as a front sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is one-piece brass nosecap, brass ferrules, forend swell at the rear ferrule, sling swivels on the front of the trigger guard and toward the front of the forend, brass sideplate, guard, buttplate and escutcheon on the top of the wrist. The stock has a few scattered minor marks and a small loss at the rear edge of the lock plate. There are no cracks. The LOP measures 13 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate has scattered light scrapes. Overall, the stock is in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This musket retains about 95% of its metal finish. There is evidence of polishing, but this could be from production. There is infrequent minor surface oxidation and a few light nicks and scratches. The screw heads are tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this musket is in about Fine condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this musket. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
