Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a white bead sight fixed to the front of the rib. There is a silver center bead.
Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “SP-10 Magnum” “RM015344” The left side of the barrel is marked “10 Ga Magnum for 3 1/2″ Shells only”. The right side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A.” and Manufacturers warning labels.
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stocks are two-piece checkered wood featuring a checkered forend with a full-length finger shelf, a checkered pistol grip, a fluted straight comb and a Griggs Adjustable buttplate. There are scratches and compression marks throughout the stocks. There are no chips. The checkering remains sharp. The LOP is 14 3/8″ from the trigger to the rear end of the buttplate. Overall, the stocks are in Good to Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore.There is minor fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9 out of 10.
Overall Condition: The shotgun retains about 90% of its metal finish. There are spots of bluing loss on the receiver. There are a few spots of corrosion scattered throughout.There are light scratches and handling wear. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings remain clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this shotgun. As with all previously owned guns, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Our Assessment: The Remington SP-10 represents the modern revival of the American 10 gauge semi-automatic shotgun, developed to meet the demands of waterfowl hunters who wanted maximum payload capability with contemporary reliability. Introduced in the late 1980s, the SP-10 was engineered around the massive 3 1/2 inch 10 gauge shell and drew heavily from Remington’s proven semi-automatic lineage while incorporating a gas-operated system robust enough to handle the largest sporting shotshells in regular production. Its size, weight, and purpose-built design place it squarely in the category of serious waterfowling tools rather than general field guns.
Chambered for 3 1/2 inch 10 gauge shells, the SP-10 delivers substantial downrange energy and dense patterns well suited for long-range goose and late-season waterfowl hunting. The 25 inch vent-rib barrel strikes a balance between swing dynamics and pattern efficiency, while the Rem Choke system allows flexibility in pattern control, with a Modified choke included. The white front bead paired with a silver center bead provides a clear and familiar sight picture across the rib, reinforcing the shotgun’s intended role as a dedicated waterfowl platform designed for deliberate, controlled shooting.
This example shows honest use while remaining mechanically sound and visually respectable. Approximately 90 percent of the original blue finish remains, with scattered areas of bluing loss, light corrosion, and handling wear consistent with field use. The bore is bright with no erosion and minor fouling, rating 9 out of 10 in this writer’s opinion. The wood stocks display scratches and compression marks but retain sharp checkering and remain free of chips, placing them in Good to Very Good condition overall.
