Our Assessment:  The Remington Model 37 Rangemaster was introduced in 1937 as Remington’s answer to Winchester’s Model 52, targeting the high-end competitive rimfire market. Built with precision in mind, the Model 37 was regarded as one of the most accurate .22 caliber rifles of its time. Early examples like this low serial number “00099” are particularly desirable among collectors due to their refined craftsmanship and historical relevance in American target shooting culture.

This particular rifle is outfitted with a period-correct R.A. Litschert Spot-Shot scope, a high-quality optics choice from the golden era of rimfire competition. The triple scope block setup suggests it was used for serious precision shooting. The scope remains in excellent condition and completes a highly authentic vintage match setup.

For collectors of early 20th-century target rifles or serious smallbore shooters looking for a classic with character and capability, this Rangemaster Model 37 offers exceptional appeal. Its low serial number, original finish, excellent bore, and top-shelf optics make it a standout piece for both competition history and classic rimfire enthusiasts.  Please see our High Quality photos and good luck on your bids.-C.M.
