Our Assessment: The Remington Model 76 is the lever-action member of the Nylon family and is the only lever-action Remington ever made. The Nylon series was the first mass-produced rifle to feature a stock made from a material other than wood. The synthetic stock used on these rifles meant that they could operate in more adverse conditions than their wood stocked counterparts. Some have speculated that the lightweight of the guns could potentially cause substandard accuracy in the field, but this does not seem to be a complaint from Nylon series shooters. The Nylon Model 76 was only produced from 1962-1964 and they only produced approximately 25,000. This one has some wear, but with the small number produced this is still a great find for a Remington fan, plus how many do you think survived until now? Please see our photos and good luck!
