Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked with a warning above “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY, INC. ILION, NY”, “30-06 SPRG”, a “B” inside a triangle, with an inspection mark, and “EO 59”. The left side of the receiver is marked “Remington” with the serial number and “Model 7600”. The right side of the barrel is marked with an ovalled “R.E.P.” and two inspection marks. The right side of the receiver is marked with the serial number.

Barrel Length: 22”  

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a white beaded blade attached to a serrated ramped base screwed to the front of the barrel. The rear sight is a “U” notch on a slider on an elevation ramp fixed to the barrel and is fully adjustable. The top of the receiver has a pair of drilled, tapped, and filled holes.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece checkered walnut with a pistol grip, monte carlo comb, and a checkered black plastic buttplate. There are black caps on the forend and pistol grip. There are a couple of faint compressions and draglines, most noticeable on the left of the forend. There are a couple of little nicks and dings through the finish on the pistol grip cap. The checkering is mostly strong with light wear. The LOP measures 13 3/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate has some light wear. The stocks rate in about Fine Plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a few light handling marks. There are a couple little oil stains on the barrel. There is light operational wear. The pinheads are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with a total of 5 blued 4-round magazines and a serial matching box.

Our Assessment: This is a Remington Model 7600 pump action rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield. The 7600 is like the earlier 760 with some updates to the action. With its slick pump action design and 22″ barrel, it’s a fairly compact and fast-handling gun that will allow for rapid follow-up shots on fast running game. The rifle has nice adjustable iron sights but also has provision for mounting an optic should you so choose. The bore is stellar and there is no reason to think that with the proper care that this rifle won’t last a few lifetimes. Please see our photos and good luck!
