Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “RR01232M / Remington / Model 700”. The left side of the barrel is marked “REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY INC. ILION, NY / 7MM REM MAG”.

Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is mounted with a two-piece scope base.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is checkered wood with black caps, semi-pistol grip, two capped recoil lugs, and a fluted straight comb with a cheekpiece. The LOP measures approximately 13 5/8 inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the Remington SuperCell buttpad. There is no notable wear other than two tiny compression marks on the bottom lip of the cheek piece. The checkering is crisp. There are no chips or cracks. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10. It appears unfired.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows no operation wear. The markings are clear. The screw sockets are sharp. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent to Like-New condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as well as the safety. The trigger has a crisp and clean break with minimal take-up or overtravel. The bolt is serial matching. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Remington Model 700 CDL SF (Classic Deluxe, Stainless Fluted) is a premium hunting rifle built on one of the most respected bolt-action platforms of the 20th and 21st centuries. Chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum—a powerhouse round for long-range hunting of everything from mule deer to elk—this rifle is as capable in the field as it is refined in form. Its 26” fluted stainless steel barrel is not only corrosion-resistant, but also enhances heat dissipation and reduces weight for extended treks in the backcountry.
This example, manufactured in 2020 just prior to Remington’s temporary shutdown, shows virtually no signs of use. It appears to be factory test-fired at most, with a flawless bore and a bright, unmarked stainless finish. The walnut stock is beautifully grained and sharply checkered, with only the most minor marks noted. A SuperCell recoil pad offers excellent shoulder comfort when shooting full-house magnum loads, and the crisp factory trigger makes precision shooting intuitive and repeatable.
