Our Assessment: The Remington 700 needs no introduction. It has been one of the most popular bolt action rifles in America for decades, seeing use in target shooting, hunting, and in law enforcement and has been produced in just about any caliber and configuration you could think of. This one is the BDL Varmint Special model. It has a hinged floorplate, press checkered wood stock, heavy barrel, and is drilled and tapped at the rear of the barrel for a 40XB style scope base. This example is chambered in .22-250 Remington and would make a great varminting or target shooting rifle. This is a classic Remington rifle in a classic caliber and looks like it has hardly seen any use! Please see our photos and good luck!
