Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “.410 GA FOR 3 IN. OR SHORTER SHELLS / FULL / W L R L”. The right side is marked “REMINGTON ARMS COL INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. / PATENT NO. 2,278,589 / OTHERS PENDING” and two proof marks. The left side of the receiver is marked “Remington / MODEL 11-48 / 4147019”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a silver bead on top of a raised ramp. The top of the receiver is grooved and serrated.

 

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece checkered wood with a finger grooved forend and capped pistol grip buttstock. The checkering is mostly sharp with a few obstructed checkers. Light handling and storage marks are present in the smooth portion of the wood. There are no chips or cracks present. The LOP measures 13 ?” from the front of the trigger to the back of the serrated polymer buttplate. The stocks rate in about Fine plus overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore.

 

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its original metal finish. The balance of finish shows light handling marks consistent with light use. The markings are clear. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Fine Plus condition.

 

Mechanics: The action functions correctly and smoothly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
