Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number at the breech and “Remington / MODEL 700” at the midsection. The left side of the barrel is marked “300 WBY MAG” and with an inspection mark and “LO”. The bottom of the bolt is hand-etched “3793”. The right side of the chamber is marked with magnaflux, proof, and test marks.

Barrel Length: 24″

Sights / Optics: The barrel has no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver has two pairs of drilled, tapped, and filled holes.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The textured gray kevlar stock has a pistol grip, straight comb, cheekpiece, and sling stud on the belly and another on the forend. There are some scattered spots of oil. There are some light handling marks and the texturing is strong. The LOP measures approximately 13 1/2″ from the front of the trigger to the back of the solid black rubber Remington recoil pad. The recoil pad exhibits light handling wear. The stock rates in about Excellent overall condition assuming the oil cleans up.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are a couple little marks that have caused smooth spots, mainly just on the bolt handle and chamber. There is a bit of discoloration on the rear trigger guard screw. There are some light handling marks. There is standard operational wear. The screw heads are lightly used with no major damage. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Remington 700 needs no introduction. It has been one of the most popular bolt action rifles in America for decades, seeing use in target shooting, hunting, and in law enforcement and has been produced in just about any caliber and configuration you could think of. This model was only available as a special order from the Custom Shop, it is chambered in .300 Weatherby Magnum with a 24” barrel and stainless finish. It looks to have seen little use and comes with its original box. This ought to make a great hunting or target shooting rifle for one lucky winner. Please see our photos and good luck!
