Markings: The right side of the slide is marked “MODEL OF 1911 / U.S. ARMY CALIBER .45”. The right side of the frame is marked “Remington Arms Co., LLC. Ilion, NY USA / UMC 22270”. The left side of the slide is marked with a series of patent dates and “REMINGTON / UMC”, “MANUFACTURED BY / REMINGTON ARMS UMC CO. INC / BRIDGEPORT, CONN. U.S.A.”. The left side of the frame is marked “UNITED STATES PROPERTY”, “E.E.C.”, “E28” with two proofs.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a shallow blade fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a u-notch dovetailed to the slide.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are standard 2 piece checkered 1911 panels with smooth diamonds around the grip screws. The checkering is sharp. The mainspring housing is straight. The grips rate in about Excellent overall condition. There are no chips or cracks.
Magazine Quantity & Condition: Two 7rd .45 ACP Two-Tone magazines in Excellent condition.

Finish Originality: Original
Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 10/10.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows little to no operation wear. The screws are serviceable with strong slots, the pins are unmarred, and all markings are clear. Overall, this pistol rates in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance and storage requirements.
