Markings: The top of the receiver is marked “U.S. / REMINGTON / MODEL 03-A3 / 3734248”. The top of the barrel is marked “R A / flaming bomb / 11- 43”. The bottom of the barrel is marked “P”. The safety is marked “SAFE READY” and the magazine cutoff is marked “ON OFF”. The bottom of the grip is stamped with a faded “circled P” proof. The right of the front sight, underside of the base of the bolt handle, stacking loop, and front sling loop are marked “R”. The right of the botl plug is marked “B.P.”. There are a few other small markings on the rifle. The right of the butt is stamped “AA / 105”.
Barrel Length: Approximately 24 Inches
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a pinned blade set in a raised base. The rear sight is a fully adjustable aperture sight marked from “2-8” on the top and “0” with hash marks on the rear.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The hardwood stock has a straight grip, metal nose cap, stacking loop, 2 barrel bands, 2 sling loops, 2 reinforcing pins, and a metal buttplate with hinged door for storage. There are a few compressions, scratches, and dings into the wood, some of the most noticeable defects are on the bottom of the stock in front of the floorplate and on the left side of the butt at the buttplate. There are a few little chip losses above the toe but they have colored with age. There is another deeper ding on the left side at about the trench block. The LOP measures 12 ¾ inches from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The plate has some tiny dings and light thinning on the edges. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.

Bore Condition: The 2 grooved bore is mainly bright trending to grey at the muzzle with some infrequent spots of light surface erosion. The rifling is sharp. The bore shows an M.E. of about 0.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 96% of its metal finish. There are some light scuffs and rubs on the metal surfaces. The bolt plug has some mottled discoloration appearing to be oil stains. The bolt handle has some little scuffs and rubs that have lightly thinned the finish. The barrel has some light scuffs and rubs that have lightly thinned the finish. The “ON” side of the trench block has been polished bright. There is standard operational wear. The screw heads show light use. The markings are deep. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
