Markings: The barrel is marked, “SUM / 556”.  The left side of the receiver is marked with the Colt Logo and Rampant as well as “SPORTER / MATCH HBAR / CAL. .223 / SER. MH 052425”, “COLT’S MFG. CO. INC. / HARTFORD. CONN. / -U.S.A.-” and “SAFE FIRE”.  The pistol grip is marked “ERGO / GRIP”. The left side of the bolt is marked “C”.  The neck of the bolt head is marked “MPC”.

Barrel Length: 20” Olympic Arms Stainless Ultra Match. 21.5” with flash hider.

Sights / Optics:  The front sight is an A1 adjustable post. The rear sight is an adjustable Dual Aperture in the carry handle A1 sight.

Stock Configuration & Condition:  The buttstock is a polymer A2 stock with Sure Grip  Pachmayr buttpad and sling ring.  The pistol grip is a ribber overmolded Ergo Grip.  The handguard is an A1 triangular handguard with heat shields. The LOP measures 14.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock rates in about Very Good overall condition.  There are no chips or cracks.  There is some light handling wear throughout with light scratches and scuffs. The mag release button has been replaced with an oversized checkered button. The charging handle has been extended.

Magazine Quantity & Condition:  One 20rd blued steel straight Promag in Very Good condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp.  There is no erosion in the bore. There is some minor fouling. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows loose storage marks from storage.  The screw heads are sharp and pins are unmarred. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
