Mechanics: The action does not function properly. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: There is a brass-tipped wooden ramrod stored under the barrel.
Our Assessment: This Pedersoli Kodiak Rifle is a .54 caliber percussion muzzle-loader. The rifle is based on the percussion rifles that mainly European hunters would use while on safari in Africa and South Asia to hunt “exotic” game in the 19th Century. The rifle is a beautifully crafted 21st Century replica with a beautiful set of finishes and it remains mechanically sound. Like the guns it is based upon, this rifle is meant for hunting wild game and should prove a capable tool in the hands of a trained hunter. This is one rifle that black powder enthusiasts will not want to miss out on!
