Markings: The top of the barrel is marked “TAYLORS & CO. WINCHESTER, VA”. The left side of the barrel is marked “S.A.A. CAL. 45 L.C.”. The left side of the frame is marked “PAT. SEPT. 19. 1871 / PAT. JULY 2. 1872”. The bottom of the frame is marked with the respective serial number and the date code. The front of the frame is marked with the Uberti logo next to the cylinder pin and “1518” below it. The bottom of the barrel is marked “A. UBERTI-ITALY”. The side of the cylinder has proofs. The rear face of the loading gate has the last three digits of the respective serial number. The cylinder frame, barrel, ejector rod housing, loading gate, trigger guard, and grip frame all have scroll engraving.
Barrel Length: 4 3/4″
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a quarter round blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a “V” notch at the back of a groove in the top strap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are smooth lacquer finished wood. There are some scattered draglines, scuffs, compressions, and some impact marks. There is some finish loss on the bottom edges. The right side of BM29 has more compressions and impact marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore of BM 28 is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is some infrequent pitting and scattered stubborn fouling. BM29 has a semi-bright bore with sharp rifling. There is pitting and stubborn fouling in BM29, more so than in BM28.
Overall Condition: These handguns are in the white and no finish has been applied. There are scattered draglines, some little nicks, scuffs, and some discoloration. Both have light discoloration on the hammer. BM29 has some discoloration at the rear of the ejector rod housing. BM28 has some dark discoloration form previous oxidation in the flutes. The screw on the butt of the grip frame is sticking out on both revolvers (hammer fall modifiecations have been done by Munden Enterprises). The screw heads are faintly worn with attractive slots. The markings are mainly clear, but some are light such as the date codes which are almost invisible. Overall, these handguns rate in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: Hammer fall adjustment upgrades have been done by Munden Enterprises. The action functions correctly. The cylinder lockup is solid with very light side to side movement and the trigger is light and crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: This is a handsome pair of copies of one of the most iconic guns of all time, the Colt Single Action Army. The Single Action Army was in service for just under twenty years until it was replaced with a more modern double action revolver and served in numerous conflicts. This pair is chambered for the classic .45 Colt cartridge and have 4 3/4” barrels. These pistols are nice modern replicas and been finsihed in the white and have nice engraving. There is light cosmetic wear, but it honestly blends in pretty well. The bores have a bit of erosion, but a pair like this will shine in Cowboy Action Shooting where targets are very close so it may not even be a concern to you. This is a prime contender of matched revolvers to take to the range for some target shooting or competition and will provide one lucky winner years of enjoyment. Please see our photos and good luck!
