Our Assessment: The Omega OM9 R is a semi-automatic rifle designed to resemble the Heckler & Koch (HK) MP5 submachine gun. The rifle is produced in collaboration between Omega, Atlantic Firearms, and HK Parts.net, and is built in the United States with a high U.S. parts count and quality components supplied by HKParts.net.
One notable feature of the OM9 R is its full 922(R) compliance, which means that it comes with a pinned barrel extension and a normal MP5 folding stock, eliminating the need for an NFA tax stamp or gunsmithing. The rifle includes HK diopter sights, an ambi-friendly “Navy” style polymer pistol grip, and a paddle mag release.
The fit and finish of the OM9 R is reported to be of good quality, with everything properly aligned and straight, neat and tidy welds, evenly folded receiver flats, and a smooth, hard epoxy paint top coat finish. The trigger pack and housing appear to be in great shape, with a clipped and pinned housing for the classic MP5 appearance on a semi-auto gun. The bolt and carrier are well machined, with crisp components and a nice, tight fit.

Barrel Length: 8.9”. Has a fixed faux suppressor barrel shroud that meets a tri lug barrel adaptor that sits over the barrel to meet NFA 16” requirement.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a hooded post iron sight and the rear is a diopter rotating drum with 4 rear sight selections.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The pistol grip is integral to the polymer frame. The handguard is a Knight’s Armament H&K MP5/HK94/HK53A RAIL ADAPTER SYSTEM – PN: 97198. The picatinnies have KAC 9 Rib Panels. The top of the receiver is configured to accept a claw weaver rail attachment. The charging handle and furniture are true to the original MP5. There is sticker residue on the handguard as well as some loose storage marks. Overall the stock rates in Fine Condition
