U.S.A. / MODEL 9 – MICRO-GROOVE BARREL-CAL. 9MM.” The right side of the barrel is marked with “WARNING / Before using gun read owners manual for safe operation.” On the left, rear-end side of the barrel is marked with the ovaled JM proof. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number.

Sights / Optics: The gun is mounted with a hooded front sight in a dovetail slot. The rear sight is flip-up, U-notch elevator leaf.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is wood in Fine plus condition, with hardly any storage marks. At the end of the stock is a recoil pad containing the The Marlin Firearms logo.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion.
Overall Condition: This gun retains about 95% of its metal finish. The top of the receiver shows some minor scratching. The Screw heads are sharp and not disfigured. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. Please note that the rifle is compatible with Smith & Wesson 59-series magazines. We did not fire this gun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box & Accessories: There is one 12-round Marlin magazine provided. The magazine contains a strong, smooth spring with some external operation wear, in about Fine condition. No magazine will be included for purchasers who reside where it cannot be legally transferred.
Our Assessment: This is just a great and fun little carbine, by a respected gun maker, Marlin. The Camp Nine is a gun that has earned its reputation of reliability and quality. Pistol Caliber Carbines have become quite popular because 9mm is fun to shoot and, usually, cheap. If you have a Smith & Wesson 59 series handgun, it will also share magazines. Take this gun out and shoot it, or put it under the bed to greet an intruder with.
