Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Marbles blade dovetailed to the barrel. The rear sight is a u-notch elevator sight dovetailed to the barrel. The tang is drilled, tapped, and filled for a tang sight (none present).
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two-piece smooth walnut with a capped forearm, straight wrist, straight comb, and steel crescent buttplate. The stocks are dark where the wood meets metal. There are no chips or cracks. There are light compressions, nicks, and scratches. The left side of the wrist has a repair. The LOP measures 13 1/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttplate. The stocks have been refinished. The stocks rate in about Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is light erosion and fouling in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 6.5/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 50% of its current metal finish. There is thinning on the leading edges and muzzle. Most of the receiver and lever have gone mute. There is some color remaining in the protected areas. There is some minor oxidation and light patina throughout as well as a few spots of erosion and pinprick pitting on the receiver. The screw heads are sharp to tool marked with strong slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Very Good condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The hammer has a half-cock safety position. We have not fired this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
