Our Assessment: This is an exceptionally clean 1870-1970 Centennial Marlin 336, indicated by the Brass Medallion in the stock. This fine lever-action rifle includes the Original ‘JM’ Marlin Hammer Spur which by itself commands $40 – $50+ on firearms sites. This rifle is certainly in good enough condition to take out on the hunt but this writer thinks it deserves to be preserved in its high condition in a collection. The rifle retains about 97% original finish with a bright bore and smooth mechanics. Please see our photos and good luck!
