Markings: The right side of the frame is marked “SPRINGFIELD INC /  GENESEO IL USA / NM 439342”. The right side of the slide is marked “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” followed by the Springfield Armory crossed cannon logo. The top of the barrel visible through the ejection port is marked “S.A. 9MM”. The left side of the slide is marked “OPERATOR / CAL 9MM”.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a Dawson serrated blade with a red fiber-optic insert and is dovetailed into the slide. The rear sight is a serrated “U” notched sight that is dovetailed into the slide.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are checkered black and gray G10 panels. There are light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The grips rate in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.

Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There is some faint wear on the rail and on the top of the slide behind the port. There are light handling marks. The screwheads are sharp. The markings are strong. Overall, this handgun rates in about Excellent condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is a serial matching case and one 9-round magazine.

Our Assessment: This is a great tactical pistol with a skeletonized trigger and hammer, beavertail extended grip safety, extended thumb safety, Dawson fiber optic front sight, angled rear slide serrations, 25 LPI checkered frontstrap, and a picatinny rail. This pistol also was made without the Springfield Internal Locking System (ILS) on the mainspring housing. With its all-steel construction and 9mm chambering, recoil should be minimal and fast follow-up shots easy. The sights are quick pointing and easily acquirable. The pistol is in Excellent condition and comes with its original case, ready for carry, competition or recreational target shooting.
