Markings: The left of the barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON”, the right is marked “44 S.&W. SPECIAL”. The rear of the cylinder is marked “V” and the ejector rod recess is marked “S”. The yoke cut is marked “AHT2643 / MOD. 624”. The sides of the grip frame and yoke are marked with inspection marks. The side plate has the S&W logo, the right of the frame has the four line Marcas Registradas address. The butt of the grip frame is marked “AHT2643”.
Barrel Length: 3” with rib and shrouded ejector rod.
Sights / Optics: The front sight is a serrated ramp blade with a red insert, fixed to the rib, the top of the rib is serrated and matted for glare reduction. The rear sight is a square notched, white-outlined leaf in a micrometer-click adjustable base.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The grips are smooth Goncalo Alves combat grips with finger grooves and S&W logo medallions. The grips have a few little marks into the finish, most noticeable on the bottom and bottom finger groove, only light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. Overall, the grips are in about Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are some draglines and swirls from use and storage. There are a few marks and tiny nicks on the bottom of the trigger guard. There are a couple faint rubs and scuffs, most noticeable behind the cylinder flutes and on the back of frame. The screw heads are sharp. The markings are clear. Overall, this revolver is in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The cylinder has very little play on each of the six chambers. The double-action trigger is smooth, the single action is crisp. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
