Markings: The left of the barrel is marked “KIMBER MFG. INC. YONKERS, NY, USA .308 WIN HUNTER” and has an encircled “P” at the chamber. The left of the receiver is marked with the serial number and “Kimber 84M”. The underside of the bolt handle is matched and hand inscribed “445”.

Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is installed with a pair of Talley bases with integral rings that are holding a Zeiss Terra 3X 3-7×32 scope. The scope has a few light handling marks. The scope has a duplex reticle and the glass is clear, it rates in about Excellent condition.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a one-piece FDE reinforced polymer with pillar bedding, a pistol grip, fluted straight comb, sling studs front and rear, textured panels, and Kimber black rubber buttpad. There are a couple of little nicks on the trigger guard. There are a few light handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures approximately 13 3/4” from the front of the trigger to the rear of the pad. The pad has no major defects. The stock rates in Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 97% of its metal finish. An upgraded enlarged bolt handle has been installed. There are a couple of little tiny rubs that have caused smooth spots on the matte finish. There are a few light handling marks and standard operational wear. The screw heads are undamaged. The markings are clear. Overall, this rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This rifle has a three-position safety and a claw extractor. We have not fired this rifle. As with all previously owned firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: A 3 round magazine, the previously described Zeiss scope, manual, and a serial matching box are included.
Our Assessment: New from Kimber in 2016, the 84M Hunter is a premium hunting rifle. It combines some of the most desirable features such as a 3-position safety, controlled feed bolt, stainless steel finish, detachable magazines, light weight, and a durable polymer stock. This one has only a couple faint marks and does not appear to have been shot often. Topped with a nice Zeiss scope, you have a perfect rifle for your next hunt. Please see our photos and good luck!
