Our Assessment: With painstaking detail, Karl J. Furr hand-crafted this miniature cannon as a faithful, though smaller, reproduction of the Napoleon Six-Pounder gun, a cannon which saw use not only in the Napoleonic wars but was also used extensively in the American Civil War. The detail is fantastic, from the miniature accessories including worm, sponge, and ramrod, to the taper-pin mounted trunion cap-square. Karl Furr, later joined by his son Keith Furr, is renowned for his craftsmanship and the detail of miniatures such as this one. Even the most dedicated collector may not have room for a full-size six-pounder, but this scale replica is perfectly sized to display. Please see our photos and good luck!
