Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “MARK V / U.S. PATENT NO.3.013.355”, “Weatherby / SOUTH GATE CALLE. MADE IN JAPAN”. The left side of the barrel is marked “USE ONLY / WEATHERBY / .270 W.M.”. The right side of the receiver is marked “H172583”.

Sights / Optics: There is no provision for iron sights. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped for rail and optic options.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a walnut stock with monte carlo comb, 5- Panel Laser-Carved Oak Leaf Pattern, Rosewood forend and grip cap with maplewood spacers, vented recoil pad, slim grip diameter semi-pistol grip, slimmed forearm, and 2 sling studs. The stock shows minimal wear, consistent with long-term storage. The laser carving is very intricate, detailed, and well defined. The gloss finish is strong throughout. There are no chips or cracks. The stock fits the barreled action tightly, with no play. Overall, the stock rates in Excellent condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 10/10. The rifle appears to be unfired.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its original metal finish. The balance of the finish shows minimal wear on the barrel, receiver, floor plate and trigger guard. The only notable issue with the metal is one small spot of surface corrosion on the bolt, that can go away with some light polishing. The markings are clear and legible. The screw heads are sharp. Overall, this rifle is in Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly, as does the safety. We did not fire this rifle, but we did perform a mechanic’s check. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle comes with its original serial number matching box, owner’s manual/paperwork, and cable lock.
