Markings: The left side of the receiver is marked “SAIGA / 7,62X39”, “MADE IN RUSSIA BY IZHMASH” with an Izhmash logo, “RWX Group LLC / TULLYTOWN / PA USA”. The left side of the trunnion is marked “13406826” with the Izhmash logo. The trigger is marked “TAPCA G2 USA”. The right side of the receiver is marked Saiga in Cyrillic with two proofs and “S F” for the safety lever. The slant muzzle brake is marked “TAPCO USA”. The right side of the bolt carrier is marked “826”. The bolt head is marked “826” with proofs.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is an adjustable post, and the rear sight is an adjustable tangent “u” notch leaf sight. The left side of the receiver has a scope rail.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The buttstock is an ATI collapsible stock with adjustable cheek piece, rubber buttpad, sling slot, and slng ring. The pistol grip is an ATI polymer grip with finger grooves and rubber backstrap. The handguard is a two piece polymer set with picatinny quad rails. The LOP measures 16 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad at full extension. The left side of the receiver has a mounting rail for Kalashnikov style scopes and optics. The stocks rate in about Excellent overall condition. There are no chips or cracks. There are some faint drag lines on the stocks.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is sharp. There is no erosion in the bore. In this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 99% of its metal finish. The finish is strong and complete throughout. There is little to no operation wear. The screw heads are sharp and the pins are unmarred. The markings are crisp. This rifle rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Our Assessment: The Izhmash Saiga 7.62×39 is a civilian-legal, semi-automatic rifle built in Russia on the same proven receiver and trunnion design as the AKM service rifle. Manufactured by Izhmash, the original Kalashnikov factory, these rifles offer authentic Russian build quality with modern sporting configurations. Chambered in the classic 7.62x39mm cartridge, the Saiga delivers the reliability, ruggedness, and battlefield-proven performance the AK platform is known for, but in a format that can be customized for a variety of shooting applications. This example has already been upgraded with an ATI collapsible stock and cheek riser, ergonomic pistol grip, and a railed handguard for accessory mounting, giving it a modern, tactical edge over the factory configuration.
Produced in 2013, this rifle remains in Excellent condition, retaining about 99% of its finish with a bright 9/10 bore, crisp markings, and smooth mechanics.
