Markings: The left side of the top barrel is marked “12 Ga 2 3/4” OR 3”” and features the IZhMASh logo next to “11”. The bottom barrel is marked “308 Win” and also has the IZhMASh logo next to “11”. There are some factory proof marks on the left side of the rifle barrel’s chamber. The left side of the shotgun barrel’s chamber is marked with a safety disclaimer. The bottom of the barrel lug is marked with the serial number “119431429B” and “51”. The right side of the rifle barrel’s chamber has a IZhMASh proof next to “06” and a marking obscured by the parts. The right side of the barrel is marked “USSG-ROCKLEDGE, FL. IMZ. RUSSIA”. The left side of the receiver is marked “MP-94”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “Baikal”. The top tang is marked with the serial number. The forend iron is serial matched.
Barrel Length: 23 1/2”. There is an approximately 0.5” separation between the top shotgun and bottom rifle barrels.
Choke: The shotgun’s bore is threaded for choke tubes. There is a Full (lead) choke tube currently installed in the barrel. There are three additional choke tubes: an Improved Cylinder (steel)/Cylinder (lead), an Improved Modified (steel)/Improved Cylinder (lead) and a Full (steel)/Modified (lead) choke tube. Also included is a tool for installing and removing the choke tubes. Please note, the three additional choke tubes and tool are still in their factory wrapping.
Sights/ Optics: The front sight is a post fixed to a serrated ramp at the muzzle. The rear sight is a dovetailed square notch. There is an accessory rail fixed to the rear end of the barrel that has a dovetail slot at the front. There are two Millett medium scope rings included with the rifle that are made for a “BRNO CZ-452” (they are currently not installed).
Stock Configuration & Condition/ Grip: The stocks are two-piece wood featuring a detachable checked forend, a checkered semi-pistol grip, a straight comb and black rubber butt-pad. There is a sling swivel fixed to the bottom of the rifle barrel and one on the belly. The stocks have only light handling marks and a light scratch on the right side of the butt. There are no chips or cracks. The checkering remains sharp. The LOP is 14 and 14 3/4 inches from the two triggers to the rear of the butt-pad. The butt-pad has light handling marks. Overall, the stocks are in Fine condition.

Bore Condition: The shotgun bore (top barrel) is bright and has no erosion. The rifle bore (bottom barrel) is bright, has sharp rifling and no erosion.
Overall Condition: The combination gun retains about 98% of its metal finish. There are some light handling marks but the combination gun lacks any notable defects. The markings remain clear. The screwheads are unmarred and serviceable. Overall, the combination gun is in Fine-Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this combination gun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
Box Paperwork and Accessories: The combination gun comes with choke accessories described above, scope rings described above, a safety lock, a user manual and cardboard factory box. The box has some light handling and storage wear but remains in Very Good-Fine condition.
Our Assessment: This IZhMASh (Izhevsky Mekhanichesky Zavod or Izhevsk Mechanical Factory in English) Model MP-94 is an over/under dual-trigger top-break combination gun with both a 12 gauge and .301 Winchester barrel. The gun was manufactured by the Russian company IZhMASh in 2011 based on the proof marks on the gun’s components and it was imported by US Sporting Guns for resale on the US market. The gun is beautifully finished and remains mechanically sound. It comes with four different chokes tubes for different situations. The gun is a versatile option that should prove a worthy companion to its next user. Good luck on your bid!
