Barrel Length: All 6”
Sights / Optics: FR36: The front sight is a gold blade pinned into a slotted serrated ramped base screwed to the barrel. The front sight is adjustable for elevation. The rear sight is a square notched leaf in a base that is dovetailed into the topstrap and adjustable for windage.
FR37: The front sight is a gold blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch that runs the length of the topstrap.
FR52: The front sight is a gold blade pinned into a slotted ramped base integral to the barrel. The front sight is adjustable for elevation. The rear sight is a sqaure notch leaf in the barrel break lever.
FR53: The front sight is a gold blade fixed to the barrel. The rear sight is a square notch that runs the length of the topstrap.
Stock Configuration & Condition: FR36, FR37 and FR52 all have off white plastic grips with checkering, thumbshelves for right handed shooters, and owl medallions on the right side. They all display some light draglines, a few spots of light discololraotin, and a few little nicks. FR52 has a couple very shallow scratches on the bottom. None have any chips or cracks. FR36, FR37, and FR52 all rate in about Fine Plus condition.
FR53 has an imitation stag grip with owl medallions on either side. There are a few little nicks, draglines, and scratches on the butt. The most noticeable defects are some shallow scratches on the butt. There are no chips or cracks. The grip rates in about Fine condition.
Type of Finish: All Polished Blue with Matted Blue Frames
Finish Originality: All guns have their Original finish.
Bore Condition: All bores are bright with sharp rifling and some infrequent spots of light surface oxidation.
Overall Condition: All handguns retain approximately 96% of their metal finish. They all display some little marks into the finish, draglines from storag, and some faint scuffs.
FR36: There are some spots of dark discoloration from previous oxidation on the hammer and trigger. There is some light thinning on the edges at the muzzle. The cylinder has some mottled discoloration likely from oil during storage. The markings are mainly clear but a few are faint, most notably the caliber. The screwheads are sharp It rates in about Fine Plus condition
FR37: There are a couple freckles of dark discoloration from previous oxidation on the hammer and trigger. The barrel has some small spots of dark discoloration from previous oxidation. There are some little nicks and scratches on the barrel, most noticeable on the right side at the muzzle. There is some light thinning on the edges at the muzzle. The cylinder has some mottled discoloration. The markings are colear. The screwheads show light use with strong slots. t rates in about Fine condition
FR52: There is some light thinning on the edges at the muzzle. The frame has some freckles of frost. The hammer has some spots of discoloration from previous oxidation. The trigger guard has a few scratches. There is a light scratch on the left of the barrel. The cylinder has a couple of scracthes and a partial turn line. Themarkings are clear and the screwheads show light use with strong slots. The revolver rates in about Fine condition.
FR53: There is some light thinning at the edges of the muzzle. There are a few spots of frost on the barrel. The hammer and trigger have spots of discoloration from previous oxidation, moreso on the hammer. The loading gate has some light discoloration. The cylinder has mottled discoloration. The markings are clear and the screwheads show light use with strong slots. The revolver rates in about Fine condition.
Mechanics: The actions all function correctly. We did not fire these handguns. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: A commemorative wood display case comes included. The hinged lid is marked in gold with “IVER JOHNSON / FINE GUNSMITHING” in a circle around the owl head logo and “100 Years / of”, “COMMEMORATIVE ISSUE” and “Iver Johnson”. There is offwhite padded foam on the interior that has scattered oil stains. The case has some scattered scratches and scuffs. There are no cracks. The hinged have locks but there is no key included. The case rates in about Very Good-Fine condition.
