Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “MODEL 97”. The top of the barrel is marked “12GA 2 3/4”. The right side of the barrel is marked “IAC BILLERICA MA”. The bottom of the receiver is marked “S.C. CHINA / C090657”. The right side of the receiver is marked “US” with a flaming bomb proof underneath it. The mag tube is hand scribed “246”.

Sights / Optics: The gun is mounted with a brass bead front sight. There is no rear sight.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stocks are two piece wood with a serrated forend, smooth pistol grip, straight comb, and a hard synthetic checkered buttplate. The only notable imperfection is a tiny compression on the right side of the buttstock near the belly. Otherwise, there are minor handling marks. There are no chips or cracks. The LOP measures 13 5/8” from the front of the trigger to the rear of the butt plate. The buttplate minor handling wear and a few spots of minor discoloration. The stocks rate in about Fine-Excellent overall condition.

Bore Condition: The bore is bright. There is no erosion in the bore.
Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 98% of its metal finish. The balance of the finish shows wear on the magazine tube where it is in contact with the forearm during operation and a few light scratches on the left side of the receiver. The right side of the receiver shows some kind of staining. The screw heads are sharp with deep slots. The markings are clear. Overall, this gun rates in about Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this gun.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This gun comes in its original serial matched box with a manual and the installed bayonet lug/heat shield assembly. The box shows light rubs on the edges from storage and is in about Fine condition.
