Markings:  The left side of the receiver is marked “SUPER BLACK EAGLE” with proofs underneath including the date code “BH”.  The left side of the chamber is marked “BENELLI ARMI S.P.A.-URBINO-MADE IN ITALY”.  The right side of the barrel is marked “12 GA. 3 ½”-FOR 2 ¾” ,3” OR 3 ½” SHELLS READ OWNER’S MANUAL BEFORE USING GUN ”. The right side of the receiver is marked “HECKLER & KOCH. INC. – STERLING. VA. MADE IN ITALY U059656”.

Barrel Length: 24″

Choke: This barrel is cut for Benelli standard forward thread chokes. Currently installed with Modified.

Sights / Optics: The front sight is a small orange fiber optic rod with a smaller silver mid bead present. The length of the rib is serrated to reduce glare.

Stock Configuration & Condition: The furniture set on this rifle is a checkered synthetic set with a full finger shelf forend and a semi-pistol grip fluted straight comb stock with a rubber ventilated buttpad. The furniture shows moderate wear from use with surface level lines and scratches throughout. There are no chips or cracks. The length of pull is 14.25” from the front of the trigger to the back of the buttpad. The stock shows a slight right handed cast. The drop at comb is 1.5” and the drop at heel is 2.25”. The buttpad is soft and pliable showing only minor rub wear. This shotgun has a sling attached to the two sling swivels. Overall the furniture set is in Good to Good + condition.

Finish Originality: Original

Bore Condition: The bore is mirror bright with no erosion. The bore shows very minor lines from use and almost no plastic fouling in this writer’s opinion the bore rates 9.5/10.

Overall Condition: This shotgun retains about 97% of its finish. The barrel shows some scattered lines and marks, with thinning finish near the muzzle. The edges of the receiver also show some finish loss. The receiver has several light scratches in the finish. The bolt release button has lost most of its finish. The friction surface of the bolt and action show some minor operational wear. The screw heads are sharp and the pins slightly tool marked. The markings are clear. Overall, this shotgun rates in about Good + condition.

Mechanics: The action functions correctly. We have not fired this shotgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.
