Mechanics: The action functions correctly. The single action trigger is crisp. We did not fire this revolver. The cylinder lockup is SOLID on all nine chambers. The cylinder swings out by pulling out the cylinder pin and then pushing the cylinder to the left side. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This revolver comes with a serial matching original box with the additional .22 WMR cylinder and instructions.

Our Assessment: This is a Hi-Standard “High Sierra” 9-shot single action revolver with a 7” octagon barrel and adjustable target sights. This revolver is in about Fine-Excellent condition with about 98% of its original finish remaining. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and the cylinder lockup is SOLID on all 9 chambers. The installed fluted cylinder is chambered for .22 LR and an additional unfluted .22 WMR cylinder is included. This is perfect for carrying with you out in the field, when you might run across a sabre toothed jackrabbit or a bothersome coyote. The .22 W.M.R. round puts out almost twice the muzzle energy of a .22 Long Rifle, and is adequate for most small game and varmints. A .22 W.M.R as fired from a revolver has more muzzle energy than a .32 ACP, and can be used for self-defense if necessary. This is a well-made revolver that should provide decades of shooting enjoyment as well as make a nice fit in a Hi-Standard collection. Please see our photos and good luck!
