Mechanics: The action functions correctly. This pistol features a gas-retarded delayed blow back system. The pistol’s action is cocked by squeezing the fore strap of the grip frame, delivering a smooth, short trigger pull. The pistol has a European-style magazine release on the butt of the grip frame. The slide to frame fit is tight. We did not fire this handgun. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance standards.

Box, Paperwork & Accessories: Included is one factory 8-round blued magazine, showing only a few spots of light wear, rating in Excellent condition. Also included is a printed out owner’s manual, showing some scuffs and discoloration from age, in about Fine condition.

Our Assessment: From Wikipedia “Series production of the P7 started in 1979. Shortly after, the pistol was adopted by the German Federal Police’s counter-terrorism unit (GSG 9) and the German Army’s special forces formations.[1] The P7 was produced primarily by H&K but also under license by the Greek defense firm Hellenic Arms Industry[citation needed] as well as in Mexico by the Departamento de Industria Militar (DIM), as a sidearm for general officers and staff.[2] The pistol was also exported to several countries.” This example was made in 1980, just a year after production began. The item has a strong bore, exceptional mechanics, about 93% of the metal finish remaining and undamaged stocks. An 8-round blued magazine is included, along with a printed out owner’s manual, making this ia great find for HK junkies and concerned citizens alike. In all, it would be very difficult to find a tougher, smoother and more elegant duty or self defense pistol. Please see our pictures and good luck.
